ha! I've been trying to hold back on those thoughts and just park it for the winter but I'm coming to realization that ain't going to happen. We are big skiers and my daughter is a ski racer so we are on the mountain every weekend in the winter....rolling up there with ski racks on the 64 equipped with studded snow tires is going to happen. It can't not happen.

For the ski rack, there are specific Thule feet to buy, different from front the rear. The rears are higher and gives you a flat surface on top of the car. 951/952 maybe? I don't remember off hand but have my rack in storage and will look if you have trouble finding the info on rennlist.

Also Michelin alpin performance snows on 16" d90 wheels for the winter is a fantastic combo.

We use salt in Michigan; I paint all the exposed underbits with CorrosionX 1-2x/year, making sure to do it in the fall before/when I install snow tires.

A C4 rips in the snow.
