Black-Betty and Perrew...... Thanx for the kind words....... I chose the CAE shifter because I was amazed with it when I had it in my 997.2 RS. If this wasn't available I would of went the Rothsport route. IMHO, the CAE shifter is the best.
Frank, I am envious of your recondition and build...... If I had the funds, I would respray the whole car in and out........ I will do my best to mod my ride as best as possible, but will never be as clean as yours unfortunately. I don't know what to do interior wise yet if I am going to gut the car or add RS carpet, etc. since I don't know if I will be installing a Fenn Lane sunroof delete plate that is sitting in my living room........ We shall see.

Seems your building quite a track orientated car. Look forward to the updates and loving the seats.

Thanks for the feedback, yes it looks as though the frame hangs over the handbrake lever? Would love a CAE but sadly being a C4, I'm out.
Thanks for the kind words. I've had mine for 6 years/ done it in phases over the years - you've got time! I never went to bare metal, cost was too much and I had a good base from the PO paint.

Build will mostly be a street car with occasional track duty for fun. The current Recaro profi carbon Kevlar SPA seat is my office chair that I test fitted...... I will just be going with fiberglass Recaro Profi SPG seats for driver and passenger since it's mostly a street car and the side bolsters are not as high for daily driving.
Again, thanx for the kind words and for following my slow evolving build.

Ok, stripping the interior carpet, sound deadening, and padding is not the business....... Now I have to start taking the notorious gorilla snot, contact cement, carpet glue out of the car this weekend. Will be an arduous task as most of you know.
At least I was able to smooth out the center console and take out all spot welded attachments.
And I was able to install my appbiz RS door panels with OEM door pulls, Rennline lower dash delete, radio delete plate with relocated switches, and track plates.
