I'm not sure you understand the difference the airbox mod makes.

It's not louder outside the car in any way, but it has that extra growl inside the car that I believe you feel you're lacking. Hard to explain, but you wouldn't have the slightest idea that he car has a modded airbox unless you rode inside the car.

Like someone suggested... take the top half off and secure the filter with some tape and take it for a quick spin. I think you'll be happy.

I tried removing the airbox cover and taping the filter on. Tbh I couldn't really tell any difference. Car is standard apart from g pipe.

I've always thought it was reasonably quiet as well, however it is louder from outside the car as I'm repeatably told by everyone else..

You won't really hear until you hit over 4K at WOT. Try it again and you'll definitely hear it.
