You still have a model year 1990, it was just registered in the fall of 1989 (probably delivered after September?). The MY89 C4 did not come with a DMF.

Thanks G registration August 1989 first registered. I'm wondering whether 964 surfer has an early registration on his C2.

Mine is a c4. ;-) I have never actually looked at the registration dates before though...will take a look for fun.

No DMF on a C4 so next stop would be drive shafts...

Took her in for diagnosis at John Walker Workshop in Seattle and he narrowed down to worn out/disintegrated rubber bit in the clutch...time for a new one soon. Anyone have a suggestion on clutches? Looks like this may be a good time for a upgrade if there is something better than OEM.
