thismis a specialty dealer down the road from me. Been there forever. Moves a lot of Porsche’s. Expect them to be above board, but if you’re not going to see it get it inspected. There are lots of good shops in the area.

Thoughts on this one? Yes, I know it recently sold to a dealer and now the dealer wants more than he paid for it. Higher miles, but awesome color. I like how they blurred out the paint blemish on the rear bumper like you wouldn't notice that.

This car has been discussed endlessly here and on Pelican. It's been hammered hard in the rear. Do a search and read up about it. Then move on to the next.

I have read similar stories to the above. The car looks beautiful, but I would run.

Wait a second, a dealer bought a car and wants more than he paid for? The nerve!....JK..... this car has been discussed countless times. Based on the checkered past of the car, the price isnt low enough.... yet.

Someone will buy it. They always do. This caters to the uninitiated. That said. When you see a car you like go inspect it and if you are satisfied with the PPI: Just Buy It. Then come back to this forum and talk about it if you like. This is just IMHO. Good luck with the search.

I only threw that out before someone said "it just sold for 60k why didn't you buy it then? (I never saw it)". I'm the last guy who would have a problem with people making profits!
I promise I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled in this thread and didn't see any discussion about this car prior to posting. Must have been in a different thread or I didn't go back far enough. That's all I needed to know. I thought things looked weird on the backend.
Getting a signal yellow PTS GT3 touring this weekend so I really didn't want to have to shell out even more money for this, but from 30 feet away, it looks awesome and I've never seen this color on a C2 before.

Thanks guys, you saved me 65k :P

Throwing a post up like this and getting 6 people telling me it has a checkered history is a lot easier than paying for a PPI from a local who is probably already buddies with Fabie and may or may not give me the real story. I've had issues with PPIs missing things before whether intentional or not. If the replies were more mixed, I'd take it to step 2 but it certainly doesn't seem worth it.

I Love 964"s had maybe 10 of them, including 3 RSA's. Amazing air cooled jewel boxes.....but for the money, I was buying them in the $10-$30K range depending on car, and in the $50K's for the RSA's, back in the day. Prices exploded, I got out, in a healthy way, and moved to 04/05 GT3's. Incredible machines, so satisfying, so well engineered (read Metzger), chassis, etc... and these can now be sources for less than 964 $'s. in some cases 20-30% less, and they tick all the boxes, especially the rarity box. Have any of you guys looked at this option, given the difficulty finding good, reasonably priced 964's?

Hell yea I have. and kept my 964 Turbo that I bought at $40k 15 yrs ago too. ... added a 997.2 GT3 in Aqua Blue. it's a beast, & love having the both of them sitting next to each other. 1st world problems deciding which keys to grab.
