The one thing I would caution though is if you drive in damp conditions the defog doesn't work very well.

You get more heat than you need even with a bypass. No worries what so ever. The rear fan is for winter climat.

Hi ,
I Just refitted my distributor and took the opportunity to connect the rear lights vent tube to the distributor tube, it is from a fuel connector 1/4 " , it saves to drill a hole in the bypass

Learned that the past winter when my blower motor cut out. Good tip.

That's a good way of doing it, will probably do it a similar wary if the tail light vent becomes an issue. When I put my bypass on I was very limited on time and spare parts.

How did you guys get the pipe to fit so well? I have the bypass from Rennline and it doesnt want to line up on the shroud. Any tricks to fitting it?

I have the same pipe as you, and it just lined up great. I worked it in from the bottom first and then attached it to the top shroud. Maybe try loosening up the fan shroud to allow a little more maneuverability.

Put a bit of grease at the bottom , around the rubber & the pipe, fit the bottom first, then the top, it may in some cases not fit perfectly at the top but once you screw in the clamp it won't move,
