I want one and it's pretty hard to find.

Okay, I'm back with a new possibility.
A 1989 C4 with 29,000 miles for 40k. The service history is not very good except that the shop that currently owns it did all they could do to get it back in shape with a lot of stuff during the last 2 months.
If the PPI comes back positive do you think this would be a good buy (from a Porsche mechanic).
40k is a little bit over my budget but I'm willing to pay the right price for the right car.
Thanks everyone

IMO low mileage is a detriment; just sitting is hard on a car in different ways than being driven. If your intent is as a collector then low mileage potentially has value, but if you want a driver then 3-4x that mileage is better.
Again, IMO.
Again, IMO.

I thought I'd update the thread.
I fell in love with a 1986 3.2 911 and I had to buy it.
Really nice car with only 67k miles!
Maybe the 964 will be the next one then
Thanks everyone for your input

Cannot go wrong with the German tank. Good job and congrats. Now, post some pics.
