Default Sway bar bushing orientation

When i took out my sway bars, the split in the rubber bushings were not orientated in the same direction. Is there a right and wrong way to reassemble, i.e. split towards front of the car or towards the back ?

Can't see that it matters.

You are probably right, I checked the wear marks on the old sway bar, and it seems they wear front and back, so orientation will not matter. If they only left wear mark on one side, I would install the split away from that area. Another case of my obsessive analness. :-))
