Slightly off-topic, but if anyone is looking for space to keep pens, change, etc., you can replace the center console piece with the control for the rear wing (and diff on C4s) with one from a 965 or RS America . It is a nice deep storage space that I believe is stil available from Porsche. Good luck!!

My winter project, I gave up looking for a manufactured split grill for my 964 so I decided to print an insert with my 3D printer . Did not come out too bad and rustoleum Sunrise Red is pretty close to Guards Red

I would like one John. Can you pm me what it would take to get that done pls. Just the raw printed plastic is fine. I can finish it from there.

PM sent , yes I am selling them. It will take about a week to get the print.
I can finish it in a primer /filler that eliminates most of the lines from the print layers.

Any chance you can do one for a 993?

It is possible ,but it took me about 2 weeks to figure out the spacing and the angles of the grill slats (the angles are not all the same for some reason.)
if you can loan me your 993 during the summer for about two weeks I would be happy to give it a shot ...lol

actually if you want to try and help me measure and fit one I will give you the prototype for free . I would need lots of good measurements and close up pictures.

PM me if you want to give it a go.

and actually if you don't want the legs that go in between the grill slats it would not be that hard. But I kind of think the legs add to it.

yes I have created a mount for the iPhone 6+ .
I prefer the Ashtray mount the best.

Also have created a split grill insert for the 993 as well with the help of Gavonder

Loving your work John.
Any movement on the 964 cup holder/tray?

Would your ashtray mount work for the older style dash with a different ashtray?

the cup holder design finished a while back .. but not many people are interested.
older style dash ? do you mean from a earlier Porsche? not a 964?
if this is the case then no .. it is contoured to the 964 ashtray.
but if you sent me the ashtray you are talking about I could custom make one.

Sorry, I was referring to the centre console cup holder you designed. To replace the cassette holder, you posted a picture/CAD drawing earlier in this thread.
Are you making these ones?

With regards to the ashtray, it is for a 964 but a 1990 model before they extended the dash. Same design as the impact bumper cars (and earlier). In any case, I don't think I want to mount my phone here after playing with the positioning last night.
