Hi guys

Whats your opinion on the perfect Camber in the front wheels for a spirited use of the 964?

Thanks

JMHO,.....1.0-1.25 degrees up front works very well for spirited street use.

Naturally, camber settings are always a compromise between grip, tire wear and a little straight-line stability so each person must prioritize these qualities for themselves.

I have -2.5 on the front and -1.5 on the rear. The handling is incredible but the trade off will be tyre wear.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I refurbished the car suspension and the guy gold me that its impossible in this car to have the wheels with negative camber, he just cant beat the limit of the adjustment....

Is this a normal problem? Any tip. on the way to do it? He even asked me if the front suspension was original, Saying that this could be the problem....

Thanks

That doesn't sound normal to me. With my front stock struts and my current KW's I'm easily able to get -1.5 or more of camber. Is he using the top bolt on the bottom strut mount to do the adjustment? Are you using an aftermarket strut that doesn't allow adjustment using this method? My rear camber is set to -1.3 using stock adjusters.

I had a problem where one side had a great amount of camber adjustment while the other had very little.

Turns out I had the top-hat spun 180 degrees on the side that had little adjustment. This is something you could look into.

Id say if he can;t solve it for you and he doesn't know Porsches get out of there stat. The last thing you want is someone who has no knowledge working on your car.

For me to try and understand, theres a part in the system that is fixed incorrectly? It has to be moved 180 degrees?

Thanks

Take a look at THIS picture. The top mount of the shock can be turned 180 degrees and it will off set the strut so you can't get negative camber.
Its meant for wide body car, you offset the top mount and also the bottom one, CLICK here, part # 6.
Hope this helps.
