It's fun to read these little odes.

Some variation on this theme is a daily occurrence here, and is what makes this forum such a pleasant stop over coffee in the morning. Or at Noon. Or in the afternoon.

There is nothing like lifting up the garage door after two weeks of snow and cold, giving the key a flick in the door lock, then breathing in the gear oil and leather. Nothing.

No thing I have ever owned, rented, skied on, flown in or sat in the passenger seat of has put a grin on my face like this car. Since the day I bought it the grin is still there every time I finish even a mild stomp in any direction. It's still there everytime I wax it. Hell, I can just sit in a chair with a beer and look at it.

Please give me a better definition of value.

Well, I just prefer the vehicle dynamics of the 964. The headlights (and those high fenders)--they're nice; the build quality--it's terrific. It's the driving experience, however, that makes the 964 special for me.

It's not surprising that the 964's audience is increasing rapidly.

In my experience, the people that I talk to, friends and car enthusiasts alike, have all gravitated to liking the 964 over the 993. In fact, a 993 is what I wanted when I first joined this forum in 2006. But as I did a little research and saw what the potential is for 964, I quickly changed my mind that the 964 is the one I wanted. And as I was saying, more enthusiasts I talk to have quickly changed their mind as well after seeing my car. And like the 964 over the 993. Classic body lines is what I love about it.

Reading through this thread, like many 964 threads, and it's pretty clear much of the 964 group has a 993-based inferiority complex. You like your 964, well buy and enjoy. Why must so many post have some negative 993 references?. Poor boys.

If it makes you feel better, I was thinking of moving to a 993. That was five years ago. I like the 993 too. No negativity here. Such real world problems.

The 993 have weird looking door panels, melted front fenders and have 20 more hp. Whatever floats your boat.

You're hedging and generalizing carelessly about the "964 group." I've owned a number of 993s already. They're wonderful cars, but I'll take my 964.

....and they (993) don't really look like a 911. Sorry for your loss.

Since when did the 964 crowd swipe the bastard child crown from us 996 folks??

993 market has been strong and lately the same for 964.

answer me this,

what would be the value of a 1990-1992 Black on black carrera 2 with 30k miles
compared to:
the value of a 1995-1996 Black on black carrera 2 with 30k miles?
