Default Suspension decision opinion?

Yes, another suspension post.

Need to replace the tired suspension set up currently on my 90 (1989 build year) C4. The car will probably never be track driven, and is not a daily driver. I am looking to be at Euro RS ride height, or close to it.

So I have narrowed it down to the AH Exclusive/Rotiform H&R Coilovers and the KW V3's. It looks like currently the Rotiform H&Rs are around $2500, while the best price I have seen for the KW V3's are $3200.

Whats everyone's opinion?

Anyone have technical info on the spring rates and damper adjustability on the AH Exclusive / Rotiform H&R Ultralow kit? Does the kit reuse OEM top mounts?

Isnt the point of the rotiform kit to be able to get super low? Doesnt seem like it would be a good fit for your goal. The V3s seem to be overkill if you arent tracking the car. Did you look at those bilsteins that dbcperformance posted a couple of days ago??

Just my opinion, but if the intent of the car is not for track or autocross, the V3's are overkill, really any adjustable damper would be overkill.

I was under the thinking that PSS10's wouldn't fit an early build 964.

I put KWV3 on my road-going C4 and while I think they're pretty good I couldn't get much higher than RS minus 15mm.

I think I'd prefer a lower rate and more travel, the roads where I live being horrendous.

I have H&R street performance.

Height adjustable (I'm below RS height) but not dampening adjustable. You can't go as low as the Exclusives, but it sounds like you don't want to?

Im also split between the H&R-AH exclusives and KW V3's..... One of the factors that swayed me towards the V3's are that they're Stainless, although the build quality on both brands are exceptional!

H&R's/AH's are designed to go and ride low. They are great quality.
I am extremely happy with mine. Ballpark spring rates are 300 front and 450 rear

Thanks for all the feedback.

Adding KW V1's and H&R Street Performance to the list now too. Any recommendations where to purchase any of these?

I also saw over the weekend that Milestone 71 has a KW V1 ultra low, anyone have any experience with these?

Currently narrowed it down to KW V1 specifically for an early C4, or the AH/Rotiform H&R's. The KW's are approximately $200 less than the AH/Rotiform H&R's.

Thoughts? Votes?

If you're planing to go low, the V1's will ride like crap on the bump stops. The Rotiform/AH H&R's will ride flawlessly that low.

I'd offer them less and see what they will take.
