Doesn't move and to be sure I place the tool roll between it and the spare.

Sorry, not the crank/ handle for the floor jack.
I was talking about the lug wrench

My mistake...I store the lug wrench handle inside the tool roll, it sticks out a few inches; you can see the end of it in the picture.

I adjusted valves (my 2nd time) 3 months / 4k kms ago ... recently noticed a small bead on the lower covers on Cyl1-3 on the two nuts below Cyl3. Even with car off after cleaning the leak, little drops appeared again on those two nuts so I pulled the cover and found this ....

Did that likely just result was uneven sequence in torquing (7lb/ft) ... per this post?

Axl911's valve cover sequence post

1. put on valve cover with fresh gasket seated evenly and lightly oiled.
2. put on all the screws by finger and don't tighten at all. Just very lightly to hold the valve cover in place.
3. then start fom the Center top screw. Tighten to spec at 7ft-lb.
4. then tighten the Center bottom screw to spec.
5. then tighten the next right top screw to spec.
6. then tighten the right bottom screw to spec.
7. do this for all the screws to the rigth of the center screw.
8. then tighten the top left screw next to the center screw to spec.
9. then tighten the bottom left screw next to the center screw to spec.
10. do this for all the screw to the left of the center screw.
for info: I have RSR rocker shaft seals, RennLine Billet (not anno'd) covers & Goetz 964 gaskets with a very thin skim of Loctite Grey gasket sealer. Maybe the sealer was also an error? I borrowed a small torque wrench so I don't think I over torqued.

No need for sealer on the valve cover gaskets. I install mine dry and have no leaks.

apologies ... the question should be simple/quick!

Can an early FRONT top mount from a C2 (april90) be used on a C4 (Dec90)?
ie I am buying new adjustable mounts for C2 and C4 mounts have some cracks, so thinking of transplanting.

Yes. The part number for the strut top mount is the same for C2 & C4 (964-343-018-02). The turbos have different part numbers. Ref PET 402-00 #2

Speaking of PET...it doesn't cover much of the interior such as seats. Where can that information be found?

Specifically, would rear seats from an '87 cabrio fit a '90 cabrio? Fingers crossed, some have been located.

Thanks and Happy Independence Day, America!

Seats are in a different PET; have a look here - it's at the bottom of the drop-down list:

Thanks for the pointer.

I was hoping both models shared 911 parts but the seats switched to 964 part numbers. Anyone know if the rear seats from 87 are compatible with 90?

TIA

The rear seats of an 87 used the top mounted buttons. They also had different carpeting. In 89 they switched to the red pull **** at the hinge of the seat. It was not received well and in 91 mid year IIRC they switched back to the top mounted release button. You can use the earlier 87 or later seat style in the 89-91's. (top portion only) The carpet will overlap the rear sides more than the 964 style carpet but it will work. The lower seat sections are larger for the earlier cars. They don't sit as well but can be used.
