The silly little question thread ...
Well now that you asked... And thank you BTW.
I have not followed the procedure you hav asked about because the car has the following setup and I figured might as well layout it out now.
Front:
964 RS KW Coilovers V3
993 Camber Plates
Front Spring Pack
993/964 Front Drop Link – Standard Uprights
993 Remanufactures Steering Rack
993 EVO Solid Inner Steering Tie Rod
Steering Rack Boots
964/993 Steering Rack Bushings
BBS E-88, 8.0 + 47 Using 0288623 w/ 2.0 Lip
Brembo GT Brakes 4-Piston 332x32mm 2-Piece Discs
Falken RT660 225/40ZR18
Corner Blane & Alignment
Rear:
964 RS KW Coilovers V3
964 Rear Spring Plate Set (935 Style)
964 Drop Links
BBS E-88, 10.0 + 47 Using 0288623 w/ 3.0 Lip
Brembo GT Brakes 4-Piston 328x28mm 2-Piece Discs
Falken RT660 265/35ZR18
Corner Blane & Alignment
As this steering wheel shake is turning into a process of elimination I have completed one task to date:
So far, I have had the front BBS E-88’s disassembled, inspected and rebuilt with all new BBS hardware and seals. Tires inspected, mounted and balanced to near perfection. This work resulted in No change to the steering wheel shake.
Thank you

I highly suspect that it’s a wheel or tire balance. First thing I would do is try a different set of wheels and tires on the front and see if the problem goes away. Additionally, you might consider getting a tires road force balance instead of just regular spin balance
Peteinjpn,
Ive been trying to find someone with 18" wheels to clear the GT Brakes and that's been a little challenging. I will confirm if the rebuild included the spin or road forced balance as well. If it was the spin, I will dismount and run the front wheels into a local shop that performs road forced balance.
Thank you

Interesting. I never did try my Cup 1's - just heard verbally they would not fit? Ok then I will work fitting these and thank you for the that information.
I noticed when parking my 964 and locking the doors sometimes the alarm goes off for no random reason. Have any of you guys experienced this? I read somewhere that maybe the switch in the glovebox could cause this but who knows.
It is the design of the aftermarket wheel that is giving you the issue. The big brakes with 332mm rotor wouldn't be a problem with the SL version of the CupI. The SM version would be a little tighter. They used to race with the 330mm and big calipers back in the day.
Can you please elalborate "It is the design of aftermarket wheel" when you have a moment.
TIA
He's referring to the fact that my wheels are aftermarket and that is why the weights interfere with the caliper. I keep telling myself to pick up a set of factory Cups but never seem to get around to it. I'm waiting to finalize the suspension settings.

"Thank you for clearing that up"
