Okay, just got the word. 10 days or so to get the new pistons made, then they ship to the engine builder and I hope he can get the whole thing together before the end of the month. For gods sake let this story be done, I can't take any more issues or I'm selling the car! How much patience should a man have?

Cylinders are ready, redone at 102.7mm
Waiting for the new pistons which are redone in such a way that we can drop the shim under the cylinders. If all goes well I should be driving within a month or so.

If all is well the pistons arrive next week so they can start the reassembling. And then fingers crossed that this was the exact issue...
New pistons were made quickly but the company that does the coating on the pistons had a long wait.

Engine being put back in and Matthias is going to check the car and fix some last bits. Electric steering pump needs to get installed and the reservoir for the turbos including a new scavenge pump. Then a final VEMS reprogram for the new engine and done.
Hope to pick it up in the next couple of weeks.

Finally, got an August 18th pick up date. That would be perfect because I can do a trip Amsterdam-Copenhagen and back that week. Nice run in for the engine and then when I get back I'll do the final ECU mapping on the dyno. It has been a year since I drove my car so it's about time!
