BBS 3 piece question
Anyone know if 16in BBS three piece wheels are lighter than 16in D90s?
Are the 3 piece BBS wheels high quality?

CUP 1's were 17" wheels and Cast
Good quality - however the weight will be more than the 16" Flat dished Forged wheel (used on the 928 primarily, optional on the early 964's)

BBS RS have forged lips, they are pretty light.
I didn't think D90's were forged? I thought just the Clubsports are forged which is very similar to a D90.

D90's and Flatdish are different
both are 16" and look similar though.
D90's are a cast wheel, Flatdish are forged
Here is the Design90 wheel - the design is different http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=27

I misread Superusers post, I didn't know the 16" Cup Ones were forged, I guess they are pretty light.
These are Clubsports, similar look to D90 and forged...

Clubsports are very similar to D90's as well but forged - you are correct in 16"
btw.. BBS motorsports E88 3 piece wheels are extremely well made as well. but start in 18"

Yeah, that's awesome. They came on mine too, never knew they were forged.

Why do you need 16's? and they may be light but I don't think 16' cup 1s look very good on a 964.. prefer D90s or 17' cup1s and 2s..

If I ever sell my 964 I would like to put it back to stock. The 16" cups looked good with spacers on a lowered 964, I ran this way 6 months waiting for my Work wheels to show up from Japan.

The BBS Motorsport wheels are available in different thickness rim halves (3,4,5mm) so depending on which one you have, they may be more prone to pothole damage. The older magnesium BBS wheels do tend to crack over time and have been discontinued.
