There are a lot of post on the internet about them being forged but looking at this I think you are correct and they are cast.

Would the third wheel down fit on a 964? I see that the part # starts with 944. Only reason I ask is there is a set being sold local to me and the seller says it came off a 911 but doesn't know what year since the cars been sold.

The wheels are 16 x 8 ET 52 and 16 x 7 ET 55.

Ok thanks superuser. Were your wheels 16 x 7/8 as well? In your earlier post you mentioned using spacers. Do you have to run spacers to install these wheels?

No, they came as OE on my 964, I just wanted to push them a out little for looks.

Ok. Thanks for the info SuperUser. Do you remember what size tire you ran? Would 205/55 fit on a 7" front and 225/50 on a 8" rear?

Sorry, I do not remember the size of tires. I do remember they where skinny and not sticky, the car was a lot of fun with less grip
