Another 'Lift' System ~ QuickJack
#16
The sales guy told me via e-mail that the new ones are coming out in March, and that he has a phone call list going. He's going to call customers on the list once the new ones are in.
Not sure what the deal is, regarding your order. Might want to check. The guy handling the phone call list is Ryan D at Bendpak. Please update here!

^GoKart, a little annoyed because I had spoken to them about the system and they said the current 5000SLX should be able to work and worse comes to worse be used in a perpendicular fashion (not ideal for safety). They NEVER mentioned they were making a Porsche specific jack. I just got off the phone with a helpful representative named Luis but apparently my order shipped so they may not be able to help. Furthermore, it seems that the Porsche specific product may be out later than March. I'll keep you posted on what they say.

Well, I was supposed to hear from the manufacturer when the new Porsche version came out... they added me to their contact list, supposedly.
I haven't heard from anybody yet and it has been a while... so I don't know if the setup just isn't out yet, or if I've been forgotten.
I'll have to reach out to them and find out.

Just got off the phone with BendPak on the QuickJack.
The guy I was in touch with in Feb ‘17 was Ryan D., in sales, but he is no longer with BendPak. Which is probably why he didn’t call me....
The guy I spoke to today, Robert, was not familiar with what revisions were made to the “new” 5000SLX, only that it was revised. He did put me on hold to do some research, and came back with info that the “new” 5000SLX is now 70” long.

Also, he informed me of a new accessory, which is a set of frame extenders.... giving you an extra 6” of frame length, to bring the 5000SLX to the same length as a 5000EXT. The frame extenders will be available beginning this Spring.

The frame extenders are interesting to me, because I would like to use the QuickJack to lift a couple different cars, ranging from the short 964 to a longer BMW E34.
I told Robert that there may be some Porsche guys waiting to place orders, and that it would be easier if we had a single point of contact to reach out to with questions - he agreed to take the calls/e-mails. His contact info:

I plan to buy one of these in a couple weeks.

GoKart, Please update the thread when you get your quick jack. I'm looking to buy something when I get my car out of winter storage. I spent Saturday working on my A3 and I'm a bit tired of dealing with jacks and jack stands. I have limited garage space so these look like a good option.
