Porsche are the kind of company that will publish a spec that all cars should hit, not just ones or twos. Given that, I don't find it at all unbelievable that some are faster than published.
How did the car feel at that rate? Floaty, darty, lifty?

I have a Techart fixed rear spoiler on the back and the Techart spoiler lip on the front so, combined with H&R coil overs, the car felt very solid and didn't float around as it previously did above 250km/h when I didn't have the rear spoiler. I would have loved to push it to the max at the time but I was concerned somebody might pull out in front of me... I'll have another go when I visit Germany again...

Doesn't anyone remember the NYPD tracking down the guy who did the "Fastest Lap Around Manhattan Island" video?
Seems like these videos are sure ways to to get visits from law enforcement....

i was thinking the same thing. you could make an argument that just a vid of the speedo doesnt give enough evidence to prosecute, but the little bit of road footage at the end of this vid would be enough to do this guy in.

I won't dispute the original poster's video but as an intellectual exercise, one could put the smallest diameter wheel/tire combination on the car at which point the speedometer would show quicker acceleration and read a higher top speed.
Next time, I'd want to see what the GPS says is your speed over the ground! In any case, Litew8, be careful out there!

At this speed the gauges are not that accurate. Different tires than stock can also cause inaccuracies. For reference, the track where I do DE has a mile long strait. At the end of this strait and before I go into the banked turn my speedo shows 140 mph (17" BFG Rivals 225/45F, 255/40R @ 36 psi hot). The data from my 5 Hz GPS shows 136 mph. I tend to believe the GPS.
