Polyurethane Air Intake sleeves

Got them in the mail the other day. They look good, basically exactly the same dimensions as the OEM pieces, but made in poly.
Once it all goes back together, their blue color won't be so obvious, but it makes for a cool little accent.

I was a bit surprised w/ the durometer of the poly they used, since it is slightly stiffer than the OEM rubber. I don't think it'll cause a problem sealing once they're clamped into place and might actually offer a more secure grip against the intake popping out once installed.

new word - thanks
Durometer is one of several measures of the hardness of a material. Hardness may be defined as a material's resistance to permanent indentation. The durometer scale was defined by Albert F. Shore, who developed a measurement device called a durometer in the 1920s
your intake and hardware looks superb in white - did you have to do any special washes/dips etc..
before powder coating went on?

I would be really concerned about the long term durability of these sitting in the engine compartment of a 911! The bubbles in the pieces means they don't know how to properly cast (under pressure) a thermoset polyurethane. Which means they probably didn't pay much attention to the properties of the resin that they used either. From experience I can tell you that very few will handle the long term underhood temperatures without deforming! Which is the absolute last thing you want happening to anything attached to your intake manifold.

Did you install these and how are they holding up
I have contacted the seller a few times and never received a response so I am wondering if they have withdrawn this product from the market in view of Jasons comments above..

I installed them, so far so good, no complaints. I emailed them about some of the molding defects (see Jason's post above) and they sent me a couple of extra sleeves that were free from defect.
