I've lost my 'key' twice now, by leaving it on the lug and driving away. You'd think I would learn....
Anyway, there are at least 15 or 20 different factory patterns for the key, so you'll need to know which key you have. The only way that I know of to determine this, is to have a Porsche dealer service center test it with their key masters. They will be happy to sell you a new key for about $40 or so. Or maybe you could sweet talk them into just removing it for you...
Sorry that I don't know of another way. Good luck!
If the local dealer does not have a master, take a slightly smaller socket and pound it on the lug nuts, then use a hand wrench to back them out. You should be able to remove them as long as your lug nuts are properly torqued (and not over torqued), I've used this method before on another vehicle without too much trouble.
I beat the crap out of mine till the center barrel lock was totally destroyed and could pull out the center barrel. This involved me breaking a few screwdrivers tips and a hammer. Not fun but it worked. All 4 of my locks are gone. I need to get real lug nuts as replacements.
30 different sockets, dealers will have a case of 30 sockets, Mgaurd will be able to match the socket for you if you send them a good photo. If not get an imperial socket and whack it on as described! (cant remember what size works really good)
