brake adjustment on a c2
I may have asked this before but not sure so gonna do it again. Is the proportioning valve only on c4's? I seem to have much more braking in the front of the car than the rear. I have a c2 and if there is a proportioning valve that I can adjust I would like to try that before investing in bigger pads or rotors or other types of dollaristic fixes. thanks in advance for any replies.

What year is your C2? 4 or 2 piston rear brake calipers?
My car is a '91 C2 w/ the small 2-piston rear calipers. I found a set of 4-piston rears off of '92+ 964 and installed them. At the same time gutted my proportioning valve to maximize the rearward bias.
Directions on how to gut your proportioning valve
It's a free mod and reversible in case you don't like the additional rear bias.
The 2-piston calipers are actually more hydraulically efficient than the 4-piston calipers, so given identical cars, the car w/ the smaller rear calipers is going to have more reward bias than the 4-piston car.
And here's a whole bunch of further reading including technical specifications for all types of alternative brake setups.

And here's a bunch of technical discussion regarding calculating brake force according to system parameters, pistons sizes, bias valves, and all sorts of factors.
