Default Singer on Top Gear

FYI, for those who missed it check out tonight's episode of Top Gear (UK tv) online.

James May spends a few mins driving a 991 then after saying something like "the only problem with it is that 911 enthusiasts still prefer the older versions" then hops into a beautiful Singer creation based on an early 911 which he says cost £280k (I think) and blasts it around the track.

Hardly an 'apples for apples' comparison (in true TG fashion) but that aside still very much worth a watch.

Enjoy!

The Singer part is in segment 1.

I saw it quickly last night. It didn't seem like a very in-depth test, just James May (IMO their least gearhead host) driving it around the test track for a bit and making some general and high-level comments about the car. I'm not even sure if he mentioned the 964 origins of the car.

Chris Harris definitely did a better review of the car.

Its a more populist approach and one of the best things TG has done in a recent lacklustre run.

No mention of the 964 base.

That sort of geekdom is better covered by fanboy Harris for us fellow fanboys.

I thought the whole episode was good apart from Steven Tyler who despite owning a Hennessey Venom can't drive for toffee!

I was even more disappointed that he didn't promise to send Liv next time.....even though Jeremy dropped 3 billion hints!

I was going to post the YouTube video "Liv Tyler washing car" just for you but I'd probably get banned from Rennlist. You'll have to search for it instead. Then, just imagine...........if it was a 964
