Default 91 C2 drivetrain drag

Something i've noticed on the car and wondering if "they all do that sir" or if i need to do some tweakage.

When i'm on very small part throttle or throttle completely shut, it feels as if there is a slight bit of drag pulling the revs down.

It's also accompanied with a bit of sluggish throttle pedal travel.

It's fine under load.

Initial thoughts are it may be the heavy dual assed flywheel. Is this just the way they are? I'll go RS flywheel when the clutch needs replaced.

Original cat is on the car, do these get badly clogged?

It just feels like the car isn't quite as free n loose as it should be, so any suggestions on where to go with it?

Cheers,

Right, got decat fitted today and car feels a lot better. O2 sensor stripped threads on way out so that needs replaced.

£100 bosch number just fine to use?

The heavy flywheel would cause the revs to drop slower, not faster.

What does it do when you're rolling w/o any gear engaged?

Yeah, its not as free revving. Feels dragged down rather than free wheeled down. No cat has certainly helped.

In Neutral its the same, just feels less responsive.

I run 5w40 oil year-round, and definitely notice the motor being free-er in the summer when temps are up.
