Hi guys I am new here as far as 911's go so it's nice to meet all of you! I have recently purchased a 1990 964 C4 that seems to have trans, diff related issues. if I disable the pdas by holding switch for 10 seconds the car will hardly move under 4 k of throttle. if I reset the switch it is a little better but lots of noise from front and the occasional clunk. Sometime it acts fine and is very quick but with the occasional clunk heard and felt. Any ideas where I should start digging?
I may have found it... just puked about 1 quart gear oil from the front of the transmission. where the torque tube connects that goes to the front diff. damn I have no gears at all now.
Hi nuen I think i have the same problem!! do you have an email so you can help me with this? mine is carlospujals@gmail.com

Check your steering. My car developed a clunk. The problem was a loose bolt on the steering column at the universal joint. I'll try to find my original thread with the photos.
