RH Speedlines - Opinions?
#17
For what its worth, RH makes good reps, usually always three piece. They are not the lightest, but they look good, durable, and hold they value upon re-sale. I'm a strong advocate against one piece fake splits, more often then not they do not have the same structural integrity and from what I see they do not hold their value at all. Probably due to the infamous reputation of fake wheels disintegrating. Although there are always exceptions, I'd reach for a good set of full three piece wheels. I've never had a problem with any set I've owned, and its been a lot of sets not including Porsche wise.
But, as always, to each their own.

Why not buy Veloce's and remove the bolts! I assume some making good would be reqd?!
Although I'm not a fan of the pretend bolts and would like 'pukka' split rims, I do think they look better for them, enough so that I would put my snobby feelings to one side and go with them anyway! Kind of like breast implants really!

Three Wheelin'
Veloce wheels aren't bad, am sure Peter at PWS wheels will sort you out. The wheels are probably stronger with them being one piece, they have a great offset, and you don't have problems with air leak with split rims. Oh and Peter can get you RH Speedlines, which took me a few months wait from for my set.
I have a set on my turbo and she looks great! In fact a friend of mine Rich has a set on his white genuine RS 964 and went to the trouble of changing the bolts to speedline bolt heads. Have a look, his car is amongst the rest on Porsche 911 world this month.
Here is mine with the Veloce.

Right, just picked up the new wheels today. The rim edges were a bit dinged and dented in a couple of places but they basically look sound. I only paid £1000 in the end so happy with the deal overall. They have all new bolts and BBS shortened valve stems too.
For 8" fronts and 10" rears what size tyres do I need? Thinking 215 on front and 265 on rear but not sure of profile?
