I will send down all the instruments to Germany to replace the instrument foil. I have the need to drive the car a couple of times in the meantime. I have a clock and a speedometer in working condition from another 964 Carerra C2 ...... is it possible to use them in the meantime? Will my Carerra C4 show a lot of error codes after I reinstall the recondition ones later?

I think the clock is the important one (something to do w/ airbag system), but I am not an expert, so hopefully someone else chimes in.

I've driven my car around w/o a speedometer. The wing doesn't deploy but that's about it.

The clock is part of the charging system . No clock = no charging .
