Default front foot well carpet? or not

looking at pelican cars for sale and there's a 93 Cab with tip trans. The interior pics show full carpet in the front footwells. Is that standard on ALL 964s?

Mine doesn't have that. MY '92 Cab, standard 5 speed

What do you mean full carpet? In my two cars, if you remove the floor mats, there isn't any carpet. You see the sound insulation.

ok- mine too. I saw in a '93 tip that it had a carpet panel : this: maybe that is just a floor mat?

My car looks similar, except tan in color. The carpets on the floor in the photo look like floor mats to me.

The Porsche overmat is carpet with an embroidered Porsche script and is held in place with small metal brackets that sit on the seat runners. The actual carpet sits under this and on the drivers side has a rubberized portion where your feet are located, this loops around the back of the accelerator.

Factory front footwell carpets are seperate pieces, they should be held on with a single press stud bear the back towards the seat

Drivers side one has an L shape that fits around the throttle pedal, at least on UK cars (as RAS says)

The Grey ones above look like factory carpet, not overmats

ok- in the us, we call that floormats. Carpet, to me, is the factory installed covering over the tub/chassis.
