Hi guys,

I've seen this bolt-in Wiechers half rollcage on ebay

Now its listed for Porsche 993 RS, but my question is would it fit a 964 without a sunroof?

I've contacted the guy and asked him to hold it until Sunday. If we can confirm it fits I'll pick it up tomorrow.

What do we think?

On 911uk forum there is a guy who posted this morning that he can get 964 cages for 450 euros posted so might be worth getting a 964 one as the ebay one is similarly priced

I have a DAS halfcage and it is designed to fit either 964 or 993. I believe the two models are virtually the same when it comes to fitting cages, seats, floorboards, pedals, etc.

The main consideration is if the 964/993 rollbar is designed for sunroof or no sunroof.

I would bet the halfcage you mention will fit your 964.

a 993non sunroof cage should fit a non sunroof 964, though are sure this cage is bolt in(to teh seatbelt mounts), ad does not say so?

I would call these guys who seem to be Wiechers UK agents, they should be able to tell you anything yo uneed to know I would have thougt

Only issue with these is Ive never seen one fitted to a 964 so dont know how they fit or look exactly, unlike Heigo or Safety Devices where you know exactly what you are getting

Yes.
Only issue is sunroof or not.
Its a non sunny cage, if your car is without sunroof then it will b fine.

Hi guys,
one thing I would like in a roll cage, and I think it is quite important is to have an horizontal bar to tight the harnesses on , so they can be hooked as close as possible to the driver & passanger shoulders .....

You can add that to the Wiechers bar discussed here for about £70.00 extra

Or any of the other major manufacturers for that matter

True, 70 £ inc paint , is quite reasonable ...
Did Heigo & Das bars are coming with an horizontal bar ...?!
