Yikes! Just looked at mine and must have a 15mm gap in one of them!

I take it 993 C4 mounts are viewed as the best all rounder choice (and I think the cheapest)?

These motor mount threads are becoming akin to "what type of engine oil should I use", Is Redline transmission oil ok? , and what tires are best?"

So, I'll throw my hat into the ring. Installed the RS mounts on my C4 a few months ago. Huge improvement. Took 30 minutes to do...with a lot of standing around. These cars are old, your mounts are probably shot, or at 50% or less. Personally I like the appearance of the RS mounts in the engine compartment compared to stock mounts or wevos...thats just me.

$374, including all new hardware shipped from Sunset.

Just do it....

I saw another 964 at the track this weekend with the same issue (a huge gap). I showed him the Wevos on my car and explained how to do the install.

FWIW, I did not reinforce my brace with the Wevo Blacks. Perhaps I'll do it when I tackle the leaky right side timing chain cover.

Anyone sell these Wevo mounts in the UK. Buying from the US (including 993 C4 mounts from Pelican) is not cost effective with high postage, customs duty and VAT

My original motor mounts were spent after 34k easy miles. Would seem to be more time related than mileage.

Wevo mounts for us in the UK are no cheaper than RS mounts so you might as well buy the RS mounts. About £270 all in with 10% discount at our OPC. If you go for 993 mounts they should cost you about £230 with 10% discount.

The more I drive knowing my mounts are shot the more I worry. I am starting to feel the motor shifting now that I am more aware. Since it is all new to me, I decided to start off with the 993 C4 mounts from Pelican by Corteco. $91.50 each and $3 for three day shipping. I pulled the trigger today. I decided I wanted to start with understanding how the originals may have felt and decide later to try Wevo or other. Now I need to figure out if I need any additional hardware to install on mine.

One advantage to the Wevos is that, if they fail, you can replace the pillows cheaper than another set of mounts.

I'm thinking Wevos black and the brace. Anyone have experience in understanding the difference between RS and Wevo mounts?

All the 964RSs I know are still on their original RS mounts. I think we can therefore say that they're tried and tested and that longevity is not an issue.

993 mounts are great. Fitted some on my previous C4. I'd have thought solid mounts on typical Uk roads would be a bit hard?
