Default 964 bilstein questions

I'm getting ready to install my new shocks. Where is a good place to get these wrenches (Red Arrow), to adjust the spring perch height? Are they just an HF kind of thing?

I screwed up and left mine at the shop that did the original install - but when I wanted to adjust mine I was able to move them by hand pretty easily with the suspension unloaded. This is on a V3 setup btw.

Remember to unload the axle of course though, since your sway bar will want to exert torsional stress if you just jack up one side.

While a plumber's basin wrench isn't nearly as handy as the one pictured above, it will work in a pinch.

When I had recieved mine, I simply called Bilstein and asked nicely if they could send the spanner wrenches as well and they did - at no cost. Great company, great products!

I called Bilstein a few days ago and their answer was "The Porsche shocks do not come with a wrench..you should use the one supplied with the car or contact your Porsche Dealer"

I suppose they are tightening their belts or something...next set of shocks is not likely to be billies!!

My daily driver has TEIN coilovers (Japaense tuner suspension), so I can use the spanners that came w/ that coilover kit to adjust the collars on my Porsche's Bilsteins.

If you search ebay for "coilover spanner" you can find a nice assortment of these wrenches for not very much money. You probably want to buy a pair since you need two on the front to be able to properly hold the main collar while you tighten the jam collar.

Just did the Bilsts. on my car.
Front and rear collars need a different size wrench. I went to a local shop that does truck lift kits and they gave me a couple.
They must have bins of left overs........
