Black Betty - Back in Black

IIRC Julian quoted me £175 to supply a 'race' tacho in red fitted and return postage. Still deliberating as I might go for Kermit green rev counter since I am fortunate to have picked up a spare. Heuer clock face is definitely on the cards

So the quick release/ extender has arrived. The quality is nice and doesn't weigh too much. The mechanism/ moving parts seem very robust. The procedure is to push the little pin and slip the red band over it. This allows the ball bearing to move out the way and for the both parts to snap together.
Credit to the parts guru Gary as having as retaining the horn connections and cost is brilliant.
The needle has to be repositioned and thats it from what I have read/ understand
I know - yours looks great also.
In my initial post a post about it you'll see a link to P-Car that outlines how to change faces.
Bingo - think that's it from what I've read.

They're definitely not your usual aftermarket wheels!

Just noticed that Rennline now do billet aluminium valve covers for the 964 and 993. Love how they can be powder coated but the fins left aluminium.
Matthew at Type 911 also sell a billet cover set.
Check out this simple solution for heal towing - love the function not form frame of mind.
Also I love the red detailing on this interior - around the ignition bezel especially.

The Singer clock is said to be a non working chronograph - however I note **** below the dash. From what I've found it it's made by North Holywood Speedometer.
Cheers,

Like many of you I've been looking at PlatiDip can spray.
I like it's simplicity. As a stone chip guard it seems an obvious choice on track etc.
Available in clear.
I imagine it works quite well when filming vehicles - as often the chase/ tracking vehicle will spray up stones as the vehicles are close together.
At the same time it's useful because if you're filming a chase sequence followed by beauty shots you can just peel off the PlastiDip and have a clean car underneath in minutes. No washing needed!
I'm gonna do some tests over the summer and report back. Here are some interesting videos discussing the PlastiDip
Cheers mate,
Interesting.

Looks like a better option for front end stone chip protection than current methods. Does anyone know what the colour choices are?
I understand Hollywoods reasoning on the TAG issue. Best not say too much about publicly, because as soon as they get wind of it, they will put a stop to it. Best get them done now before that happens.
They great great by the way, and I like the personal touch too. Putting your signature on the car you created.

Just ran across this today, a bit pricey per can, but looks worth it. Care to try out and tell the rest of us?
