Default my other toy

Besides my Jeep GC and my 964 C4 Targa here is my other baby...

Has a 2.4 twin plug 911S motor from 1973. Fully rebuilt and over 200hp at the flywheel.

Is it a glass body? And the frame? What is the construction?
Cool, I want one.

Glass body, tube frame chassis with DeDion tube, Pan Hard bar and coil overs on rear. Only 4 of these have been built and expensive... especially when dumping in a 6 cylinder Porsche motor..

At the other end of the performance spectrum:

2000 Honda Insight, the first year of the first commercial hybrid, and still the best by far IHMO. Aluminum body and super lightweight everything. 1 liter, 3 cylinder gas engine plus 14 kW electric drive. Surprisingly quick when the boost battery is full, but a real pig if you let the electric run down. Drive it like you stole it and still get 50 mpg. Drive like an idiot and get over 70 mpg (not than anyone on this forum, including me, is too concerned about gas mileage.....)

2001 ML 320 boat puller. Sold the boat so now it is the wife's car

This is my weekend toy that the 964 is replacing. 1.8L supercharged, 260whp. I'm going to miss it, but the Porsche is my dream car. It's for sale if anyone is interested. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...s-of-extras-NJ

I've been looking at that motor , eca1 , I might just have to buy one for fun .

"ECA

The ECA series engine is used in the gasoline/electric Honda Insight Hybrid. This 3-cylinder Engine is a SOHC 12-valve sized 995 cc (0.995 L; 60.7 cu in)-DK. The ECA1 produces 68 hp (50 kW) @ 5700 rpm and 67 lb·ft (N·m) of torque @ 4800. The ECA1 motor is assisted in various circumstances by a 10 kW permanent magnet DC electric motor adding 8 horsepower (6.0 kW) and 16 lb·ft (22 N·m) torque throughout the entire rpm range."

Last year, these were my toys. I sold all of them to "redo" my drivers. I started with the 964 and since bought an '06 Silverado. Another Harley on the way soon.

Some nice cars there, like the rocket ship. That is one cool ride indeed. What is it? Any more pics of it?
