Just purchased a set of Moton motorsport coilovers. They came with almost brand new rubber top mounts, but I think I am going to want to switch them out for camber plates (if I do, they will be for sale if anyone is interested).
Any suggestions on what types/brands/etc I should be looking at?
I went with ERP camber plates. Steve Weiner can get them for you. HOWEVER, be warned... these camber plates require that the shock towers be modified to accomodate the ERP design, and to provide sufficient camber adjustment range. The modification is done with a die-grinder, and is irreversible. This type of modification is apparently SOP for race cars; however, I needed to take several deep breaths before convincing myself to tear into the car like this.
I am not too scared of cutting my shock towers. I am also possibly considering the AST/Vorshlag camber plates. I have some on my E36 M3 and they seem to be of good design. I haven't seen pictures of their 964 offerings though, but apparently they do make them for $589 (pair).
I have a set of new unused ERP camber plates sitting in a box if you are looking for some. They have a coule of scratches from shipping but ill do $400 shipped. Pm if interested and I can send pics.
You want the camber plates if you need the extra camber for the track. The nice thing is to set up a street setting, mark the plates, then do the track setting and mark them again. When you switch from street to track it's an Allen wrench and five minutes to adjust. Keeps you from burning up tires on the street and having a no compromise setup for the track. I run the factory RS monoballs on my street car.
Ps incls shipping if you're in the US...

How about the rear??? ---- What adaption are made to the rear shock mount at the top. What rear top shock mount do you use?? Is the rear rubber mont system good enough or have you gone to a different system- I.e. a mono bearing system.
- What rear Monoball mount do you use - I have looked at several - the all appear about the same accept the 993 ( a lot picture the 993 as the same for 964 ) with 4 studs - 964 needs 3 - looks like in picture that the base plate with the studs is adjustable - change to 3 studs or optional change -
IS this a worth $$$$ change from the stock rubber mount - ????
Once you start down the path of introducing sphericals you are trying to eliminate all the compliance in the system, so yes you want monoballs uppers in the rear. Most high end shocks come with this mount as part of the package unlike the fronts. Again I like the factory monoballs but just about any will do.

+1
In for a penny, in for a pound.
I've got Rennline's front and rear, happy with them.
New to this forum.
I am looking at trialing the Stomski camber plates in the front of my 964.
I currently run KW V3's.
Does anyone know if these will fit?
Secondly, for those that have run them, what difference will I notice to my ride/handling/noise vs standard top mounts?
My car is pretty noisy, modified already so I am used to a bit of noise, but I run it more often on the street now.
