Default Whats it take these days?

What’s it take to find a nice clean straight 964 C2 Coupe in the US preferably East Coast, maybe even a targa? Anything but black and no cabs should work. Oh without paying $30 grand plus.

I might have one in my garage. I'll have to check tonight. Some assembly required. $29,999.

There was a '93 5spd GPW C2 coupe w/ gray interior and sport seats, sub-100k mile, and priced at mid-20k range on Pelican a couple weeks ago. Located in Florida.

They're out there, but the good ones that are actually priced to sell (not priced to gouge on their recent appreciation of the previous depreciated 964) move really fast, like less than 24hrs fast. It took me 6 mos of treating the search like it was my job to land what I wanted.

Check out the 964 prices sticky thread at the forum top. Should give you some idea. Given that it's winter you won't find a lot of inventory to choose from.

As described, I'd say anywhere from high teens to mid-twenties for a good, solid, (not exceptional) no stories car. Pricing will be inversely proportional to the magnitude of problems...

No cabs? You're missing out on actually having fun in the 964

lol, I see this friggin' car all the time during my work commute. I'm not surprised it has 132k miles cause the guy is always out driving it around. I'm never in my 964 when I see him tho, probably cause I don't drive my car enough.

EDIT: On second thought, it might not be the same car. The car I see a bunch is lower slightly (maybe H&R green) and I've sat behind it in traffic and don't remember seeing the RUF plate frame or dual exhaust.

Try Tim Holt.

http://www.holtmotorsports.com/index.php

Tell him what you want. He has sources for honest quality cars.

You'll probably pay more upfront than what the "books" say...but over time you might actually save some $$$, and you'll certainly sleep better!

I know right? And it saves all that hassle and mess of cutting off the roof on the coupe.

You'll pay a premium for those colors as they are in demand. Under $30k doubtful.
