I remember saving up for a moss alarm and 'microwave' internal sensor, using my paper round which took me months. which was to be to fitted to my mini 1275GT which I bought when i was 16. Had the car for months on the drive with no problems but no insurance and no alarm, got around to fitting it myself which took me all day on a sunday and armed the car at 7pm, proud at what i had done. Woke the next day and the car had been stolen! Gutted. Found in local woods with all the smiths instrument clocks removed, mini lite wheels gone and in a mess. Brings back memories!
