That bracket is OEM Porsche - but I *think* they're NLA.

The bracket and its hardware come as part of the whole Turbo/RSA hinge strut which also includes the tubular portion (arm) and hardware. Their isn't a separate part number for just the bracket.

The part numbers are:

965.512.019.00 Left
965.512.020.00 Right

I would contact Sunset Porsche and ask them if they can find any of these kicking around - but they're pricey - like $200+ each side (!)

I think I can speak for most on this forum... that's the kind of pollution we want to see more of!
We're here to fix these cars and share our experiences. Please feel proud and share pics with your 964 brothers!

Darn. MA Shaw used to make some for their wings, and they were only $100 or $150 for a pair. I guess I'll just have to fabricate some of my own then.

Just ordered this from Amazon for $18.00:

Amazon Amazon

Should be able to drill holes and find the other fasteners at ACE (our local ACE has a great selection of fasteners). May have to grind down the outside bolt heads for clearance.

I'll post the results.

Hey John, that's the stuff I used when I fabbed up my own initially - worked just fine! But then the OEM set came up on Ebay so I grabbed 'em.

One thing I'll tell you is that you'll need adjustability on every plane to do final fitting and get the gaps and positioning right once the tail is fitted. So you'll want the holes a bit larger than the bolts to allow for this.

Good luck and have fun! Can't wait to see it all come together on your '64!

John,

I have access to my father's machine shop in Tumalo, in case we need to create slotted holes for adjustment, and/or mill any edges of that L stock. It could be a fun basic machining project.

Tom...

That would be great! When are you headed this way next?

I'm pretty sure some of the vendors now produce ducktails with the correct hinge mounting points for 964/993. Check with Getty/MA Shaw, TRE, etc for specifics.

Bumping this thread because I need the brackets that are seen here with the red arrow pointing to it so that I can mount a RSA/turbo wing on my 964. Pelican only sells the entire hinge plus the bracket at a cost of $400 for the pair!!! Hoping someone has a set lying around that they aren't using. Or if someone could point me in the right direction to a company that sells just the bracket. Thanks for any help.

The bits that I needed were the (2) brackets, the (4) bolts, nuts, washers, and spacer sleeves that mount the brackets to the original decklid arms. You can (barely) see (just below the black arrow) that the outer bolt head in flat to allow it to clear the engine opening. the spacers keep the bolts from crushing the original decklid arm as the nuts are tightened.

One other item is that the ground strap needs to be run up and out of the way tight to the arm (see ziptie) to avoid fraying and grounding to the ignition coils.

I've got 1 on mine, from fenn lane.

They moulded my original engine cover, so bolts straight on.

Phone them, they will make you one of my mould, I'm the UK thou, so probably no use to you!

Shamus
Getting ready to add tail - could you send me or post the measurement for the angle adapters. I can then fabricate for myself and also offer to members if they need. Figure I can make for under $50.
Thanks

Thanks for the info! Might be a chore since I'm in the US. But it will be a last resort.

Gus, if for some reason I can't get brackets from GT racing, I'll give you a holler.

Ok not a problem IF I get the measurements.
I will go ahead and make two sets to start. One for my tail and and extra for whom ever needs it first.
