Default First ''problem'' No start...

I'm verry dissapointed

To give some background info

I drove the car untill september 2012
Gave him new distributor caps and wires (porsche specialist did)
and the car never failed on me

putted in my garage since i'm not driving in the winter

Saturday i wanted to move it out off the garage, reconected the battery started 2 times and it roared and fell out

Restarted...didn't went on
after 3 times battery dead and a gasoline smell in the engine compartment

So reloaded battery...same thing..engine goes round, can hear the fuelpump..doesn't fire on

After a call with a mate, changed the famous DME relay today
Still not going

So what's next tomorrow?

-check sparkplugs if they give spark

Then what?

Your help is highky appreciated!

Kris

investigate the gasoline smell...possibly a loose fuel line, at the filter, or else where??

No leaking on floor

So this evening, right after work back to the car

Father in law went with me,disconnected a spark plug head, put a sparkplug in it
Crancked and engine went on

WTF!!!!
stopped engine, putted sparkplughead back on the plug,crancked....nothing...

started to investigate all wiring
What did we found?
Black plastic next to the pistonheads left side

Behind the blower motor there are 3 plugs
white/green/black

I believe by some googeling the black one is the flywheelsensor one
So that one kinda died,overheated,melted

Could this be the PITA?

Thanks

Kris

Yes. You can test for it.

It's from drinking all those great Trappist beers!

I have Achel Bruin, Rochefort 6, and Orval in my fridge at home.

If the wire that connects the flywheel speed sensor is bad, the car will not run. Fix it if you can, or get the wiring kit that you would order with a new sensor.
