Ive just noticed the bee-sting roof mounted ariel?

Any particular reason for this, anyone?

Seemed to be a popular accessory in the VW tuning scene from a few years ago.

Don't know what the kids are going these days though.

 

Its all about clean lines and removing crap like that arial.

Maybe the standard arial amp gave up, no signal for the radio and wasnt fixed?

You know what they say: wish for something hard enough and it's yours.

To stray back on topic briefly, I suppose you have to admire all the hard work but it seems so misguided to my eye. Contrast with Humpty for example; admitedly a single front c/f wishbone probably cost more than this whole "upgrade" but it's a superb bit of engineering that directly improves the car's performance - unlike allowing the car to drag on the ground at the touch of a button. Eye of the beholder and all that though I s'pose.

 

some sort of air assisted hydraulics. seems to make the ride very harsh in the video

 

I've heard that can happen when your suspension travel is ~0.5"

 

I really like the "pine tree" hanging from the rear view mirror. It just adds that special touch of class that most cars are missing.
