Default Undertray fixings

Hi, a fair few of my screw threads that protrude from the shell to allow the trays to be fitted are heavily corroded, with some now resembling spikes! Are this easily replaceable? or is there another solution? How about drilling them out and fitting rivbolts?

Thanks rob

I can't be the only one to have these threads heavily corroded :-(
What do people do about it? Are they replaceable?

Thanks Rob

Do you mean the ones that take the plastic 10mm nuts? New plastic nuts are cheap from Porsche if there missing.

will a rub down with a wire bush & prep/paint do the job..I had to replace 2/3 of the ones down the underside of the sill covers when I had them off for a repaint with rivnuts...

Hope this helps....

Yes, thats the puppies. A few of mine have corroded to the point that they are now just a thread-less spike. Ok looks like I'll go the riv-bolt rather than the riv-nut approach.

Thanks :-)

Just get the bad ones cut out with something like a Dremel tool. You can buy replacement assembly's at a hardware store. Stainless steel, if you can find them.
