you are still struggling to provide the critical data to us (as requested in the first post).

is the rear 10ET65?

if so, you'll need to go about 10ET40 to 10ET47 depending on camber/right height/spring rates etc.

what camber?

what wheel width?

sml, as per my pic attached, and provided calculations, you can see that the current width is 8, with 52 offset, and new wheel is 10 with 65 offset. I don't know what my camber is - I drive the car on the street.

I need to know what size spacer I should get - I think I should be safe with 21mm to clear the oil line with 265s on the back.

That website says I should have a 12mm spacer though, so I'm unsure on what to do..

If there is no extreme camber (eg -2 or more), lets assume you are at about -1, then I would go about 10ET47.

10ET65 - 10ET47 = 18mm spacer

to confirm, you can:

(a) find my thread on 10ET40 in the subject title and I stated the clearance from the tyre to the oil line with 10ET40 and -2 neg camber .. use that as benchmark.

(b) i also would try a few quick forum searches for 10ET47 just to double-check.

Thanks. I'll do some digging. Is it "safer" to go 21mm, to get as far from the inner wall as possible? According to Marc, that's what he uses with even wider rubber.

Tnx for your help...

10ET65 - 21mm = 10ET44

i think you will need max neg camber (-2) to make that work .. unless you have a higher ride height and stiff springs, but sounds risky for a low ride height.

my 10ET40 failed on the outside fender with max neg camber as you will read in my thread .. that was pretty low however .. i think RS-5mm ... another guy was fine with 10ET40 but he had a higher ride height ... so 10ET44 would be pretty close but you might be lucky.

from memory, i think 10ET40 has about 20mm clearance to the oil pipe and suspension arm.

i measured clearances to the fender, oil pipe and suspension arm so you should be able get a feel.

Again, I tried 18 mm and 21 mm spacers with this exact rim/tire combo and similar alignment specs. and 18 mm would rub and 21 mm would not so that is what I'd suggest going with.

I now have 285 on the rear (not 265 anymore) and it still fits.

looking at adding the MY02 to my 1990 964 C2

Q. will it simply fit with the 21mm spacers or do i also need to roll the lip and modify for the flatten oil line ? Marc Shaw mentioned his C4 came with the factory flatten oil and rolled lip, not sure if this came with the 1990 C2 (need to check)

BTW tires on the MY02 are 285/30/ZR18 or should i simply change the rear tires

Is there a spacer size I can run with the 10" rear MY02 that will clear the oil line, with 265/35's and no rubbing?

I really don't want to go flattening oil lines...
