Thanks Gary, yeah i know what you mean, i can see me having same problem too! Although they did cover the steering wheel... It should have been done by now too so looking forward to dropping in on Friday to see the result.

They said its going to be painted with solvent paint and some kind of 'more expensive than normal' clear coat (cant remember the name) but apparently its going to look good wearing this!

I didnt know but apprenetly they cant use solvent paint all the time and its use has to be offset by painting more cars with water based paint, due to being less environmentally friendly.

I more sleep and I get my car back having left it with the paint shop before Christmas, I finally get to pick her up tomorrow. Damn I going to enjoy my Friday!

Loads of new rubber seals (sills / door handles / mirror / headlamp / sunroof), new windscreen rubber seals, new 993 rear 1/4 glass rubber seals installed, new 2 piece RSR splitters, arches rolled (possible future purchase), headlight washer jets delete (thanks Gaz). Solvent flat black paint & clear coated.

And overall I happy with the result, and being black, it will probably look really good for a day and then it need washing again...

So here's some pics of my little project

Some more of the same, just the second splitter to go on (should have been done today) as I needed another side sill seal for the RHS splitter. Thought one sill seal would suffice for 2 splitters but apparently not.

All pics by iphone so there're really good obviously... well there not bad for a phone anyway!

Last few .... I leaving the grand finale for tomorrow, which is the fitting of my new 911 black badge on the back. Was going to stay purist but the 911 badge was too tempting.

EXCELLENT work Nice to see that you managed to get away with cutting out the damaged metal and re fab a new piece in.

The work looks really good. Now I guess you have the interior to clean up !

Cheers lads, well happy with the result. Thought I'd be finding some minor problems as to be expected with a strip down to that extent but so far it just RHS side light not working (main beam and dipped is ok) so just need to check that out, then new parcel shelf and De-cat bypass to be fitted. But thats for another day, I'm just going to drive it and get some flying hours in

Happy with the splitters too now there on (fitted by the paint shop) the fitter was going to launch them out the garage at one point.

Looks like you found a good Bodyshop & I know these cars aren't cheap to repaint with all the add on's that you don't account for but it looks fantastic in black...real nice.
