Just as a side note, you'll want to coat the lips lightly with WD40 or the likes to stop the milking, pitting.

The Nexen tyres are good - but not N-rated if that's an issue for you.

PS. I think they're cheaper on eBay sold new by PWS

Hi Frank, yeah the quote was from PWS -£995 for the wheels then £400 or so for the tyres, fitting and centre caps.
My real concern with this type of wheel would be the rim deteriorating so will definately have to keep on top of cleaning and protecting.

Which tyres do you have on your speedlines? - I suppose I thought the 'N' rating wouldn't really apply to 18's on a 964 as they are not exactly manufacturer approved anyway..?

Why not black on one side of the car and silver on the other....you can't see both sides at the same time!

I had the Nexen tyres also for a while - was happy with them. I'm now running Yokohama AD08 as I wanted more track orientated tyres. 18s; ofcourse there'll be a small increase in road noise - lower profile. However with Nexens the side walls aren't rigid like track tyres so you'll get less road noise. As a bonus through you'll get less tyre wobble in turns.

In the end it's all subjective.

From my understanding a speed rating is a speed rating regardless of sizes. I wouldn't worry though.

PS. I lost a plastic bolt once - Peter sent me a whole bag of replacements.
