Default 235/ 8.5J & 275/ 10J

Just wondering if anyone is using this combination on track? Feedback on fitment/ handling and pictures would be great.

235 on 8.5J & 275 on 10J - specifically.

Thanks Bill - can you point me in the direction of a thread, more pics of this one pls re wheels/ tyres?

Would like to know the logic behind the front 8J tyre size choice. I assume it's the equivalent to 235/ 40.

The car was built on a budget using mostly parts available for a reasonable price, the wheels are 996n/b BBS, very light, care was taken w/ the motor/trans the only real extravagance is the 996 Cup e-power steering

I'm sure that 8.5 would have been preferred, I certainly prefer my 8.5s compared to 8s

the 245/35 is easier to fit than a 235/40 because it's shorter.

Front:
Fikse FM/10, 17x8.5
49.2 mm offset
235/40-17 Toyo RA1

Rear:
Fikse FM/10, 17x10.0
55.6 mm offset, 7mm H&R spacer, 48.6mm effective offset,
longer Porsche wheel studs
275/40-17 Toyo RA1

For reference, Factory 964 Cup was:
17x8.0 ET 52mm
17x9.5 ET 68 + 21 spacer = 47mm effective

Brilliant, how do you find the handling with the larger contact patch?

Also could you pls post pics?
