Default Carrera Cup valve spring kit

During the 1992 Carrera Cup season Porsche provided a valve spring kit to protect the engines from over revs during Cup races.

Does anyone know if the valve spring retainers were changed as well as part of the kit, or was the kit just springs only?

Bob,

I've asked around and Thomas (Schmitz) told me the kit was comprised of uprated springs AND titanium retainers.

Best ~

It looks to me as though FVD-Brombacher camshaft kits are really Schrick Kits

If anyone is struggling to get them, 9m can supply the Schrick parts to anywhere in the World.

Price on Schrick kit for 993 with mechanical rocker conversion please.

Part numbers I think would be:

964 C2/4 cams #005 L1 (& R1) 880-02

With Ti upper retainers 0005 13 041, steel lower retainers 0005 13 035 and lower retainer centering piece 0005-13-043, springs 0013 02 064 (& 031), keys for 993 style 8 mm valve stems 0894-13-8M8.

PM me if you wish. Thanks.
