I'm in the same boat- I know the respray is in the future, but given that I'll need a reseal+ soonish I'm wondering if I should just get a touch up or vinyl or plasti-dip or what.

What do you expect to pay for vinyl, and what do you know about it's performance over time? It *would* be fun to have some outrageous color for a couple years (Signal green, blood orange, one of the eyebleed blues...)

I do vinyl wrapping as a business.

If your paint is not perfect now, the vinyl will show those imperfections through it. Of course, minor swirls, etc, will be hidden, but anything that can be felt with a finger nail will show through. Vinyl is only roughly 3 mils thick.

Imagine taking a spray can and spray painting over what you have now. That's basically the results that the vinyl will provide you, but obviously with just a nicer/more durable finish.
