Thanks for that Springer, made me chuckle. I think I might have to post that one on the wall of the 9m office!

On the subject of hours spent on a job, if we were fitting Motec to an engine which had a new (to 9m) or unique specification, I would estimate that it could take around 3-4 hours to get the engine to start, idle and run cleanly up to maximum revs, then maybe another 2-3 hours to program the part throttle loads and initial full throttle runs. Then we take it to the local airfield for part throttle & high rpm road mapping, so that's another 6hrs total (driver + tuner), before spending another 5-6 hours on idle and off-idle town driving. Finally the car is back on the dyno for another couple of hours of full throttle runs. IF all goes well we're done.....

May I ask a silly question? Did a tiptronic 964 can be live remap too? Or just can be done on a manual?
