Default Anyone near Stockport UK want to help with my Hammer...?

Hi again!
I've a Hammer that Doesn't seem to want to communicate with my car - senses ignition is on, but says 'Data exchange not possible' after a while.
So I'm looking for a local volunteer, that know that their car will connect to the Hammer, so that I can confirm its MY car that doesn't want to talk! Then I can go around getting it to play... Perhaps easier said than done!?!
Anyone got any ideas where to start in fixing it? All wires seem to be connected firmly to the 19pin port.....
Is there anyone willing to spare 5 minutes or so to check it with me? I'd be willing to travel a little way.......
Maybe someone needs some Hammer time...?
PM me if you're interested...

Here's hoping!

James.

I see that sometimes when the Hammer battery isn't fully charged, or if the *car* battery isn't fully charged.

Hi James, have a word with Johnny Holland at Unit 11, near Warrington- just off junction 22? of the M56? See their website for correct details. I know he has a hammer and he tried to use it on my car, but there was no way my car would communicate with it. Yours may be the same? Good luck! Brian

I would do a continuity check on the cable, then check the actual female socket receptacles in the 19 pin connector on the car - I've had to slip in a small screwdriver on one socket hole to bend in and close up the female socket to give it better compression.

If you are still struggling to get comms working, drop down anytime James as we always have a couple of 964's around and can test your kit against our hammer and lead.
