On this day 10 years ago, i bought my 964
...and it still brings a big smile to my face everytime i drive it.
Usually i get bored of stuff quite quickly, but there's something about my old 964 that just never gets old.
I guess i'm lucky to still enjoy this car so much after all this time, and even though i've only done 500 miles in it this year, i loved every single one of them.
We're good pals, this car is part of the family.
This is an old snap from 2003 (that won the rennlist/porsche964.co.uk photo comp for the oldies that remember).
Ps. thanks for all the help over the last decade rennlisters

Me too, except that I am a few months before you mate. Happy 10th anniversary!!
Those were the days of Christer, Roygarth, Adrian, Joey Bagadonuts, Jeff Curtis (still around), John FM, DaveK etc etc: old skool rennlist 964!
Here's my newbie post from 2002:
https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...us-please.html
I share your sentiment Greg, 10 years later; still get butterflies, still spend ages just looking at it, still get out after a drive saying to myself..'this is such a great car'
I was worried about top end rebuilds 10 years ago, and I still havent done one! LOL!
Still a beautiful relationship..

I'm with you guys.... in my 18th! year of owning the same c2, I still love every mile I do, even if it was only about 400 this year. Bit of a garage queen it is these days. :-(

it's the smell....... I may not be in my car for 2 months, but the second I sit inside, man that smell. However it's not really the smell but rather all that the 964 represents and the smell is the summary in just 1/2 a second. I'm neighbours with a P-guy who now owns a G50 911, he once owned a 964, several years back. The moment he sat in my car, his whole body relaxed, and a smile came across his face.
"ah, the smell" he said.
