Want to run some numbers by you for a little project... just want to double check I've got it right since they'll be no going back!

This is what I currently have. The only figure I had to calculate is the mounting pad height.
Mounting pad height = Inner Barrel - Backspace
3mm = 197mm - 194mm

Current

And here I want to achieve,
3.5inch outer lip and an 6.5 inner barrel, with a mounting pad height of 3mm: So I calculate an offset of 35.

Goal

Hey Frank,

This may help you compare the two wheels:

Thanks for the link, but it's too basic with many elements missing for what I need.

That's a very wide tyre on those width wheels. Notice the tyre sits proud of wheel?

7.5 would usually take a 215 or 225
9 would usually take a 245 or 255

And here I was thinking your 8.5/225 & 10/265 setup was too narrow, at least on paper. However looking at the flame-shooting photos they look sweet

In my experience 225 Khumos were too narrow on an 18x8 TSW rim on my Golf. Pictured below, you can see the rim is poking out which is not ideal.

I guess the moral of the story is that not all tyres (and therefore tyre and rim combos) are created equal.

I have't seen the tyres mounted the 964's wheels yet but I trust the workshop and tyre shop to come up with the ideal combo. Will take photos asap, hopefully Monday assuming they're mounted.

Edit: I have a correction to make, they are in fact 8 and 9.5 inch wide. I was reading an old email when I posted the spec originally. Will amend the previous post accordingly

I like how the white one with the E28s in the second pic from the bottom sits. That rear sits perfectly. Any more pics of this one?

Calling the collective here

I'm still looking to get a set of 3-piece wheels made by Image (Billet 109)

To avoid any nasty rubbing or the necessity to run excessive geo I'm going to keep the widths nice and vanila with 8J Fronts & 9.5J Rears. Can you confirm that I won't get rubbing on the rears with this width? Would the same be true for 10" rears?

I just received a set of e28 motorsports 8.5 x 17 fronts and 10 x 17 rears to put on my 92' 964 nb. Having some difficulty in sizing tires. 275 40 17 rears with 245 40 17 fronts? Help!
